Notes for Educators:

The lesson plan consists of 2 interactive exercises. Those exercises can be combined or divided to suit the specific needs and dynamics of your teaching environment. The duration can be customized based on the time constraints of your class period.

Red flags may arise and need intervention such as sex trafficking, cyberbullying, or gender-based violence. In such instances, adequate measures should be discussed with related school support.

The incorporation of questions centered on emotions into the exercises aims to foster the development of emotional intelligence competencies. This inclusion seeks to cultivate an environment where individuals learn not only to acknowledge but also to embrace various emotions while acquiring essential skills to navigate and cope with them effectively.

Based on White Ribbon's successful approach in promoting healthy masculinities and engaging men to combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV), it becomes evident that addressing emotions with young boys and men plays a pivotal role in diminishing acts of violence and discrimination. By instilling an understanding and acceptance of diverse emotions, individuals are better equipped to navigate challenging situations, fostering a culture of empathy, compassion, and resilience.
